About April Pearson Towler, FNP

April earned both a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Master of Science in Nursing from the Medical College of Georgia, completing her studies in 2008. She is board-certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board.

A family history of heart disease and the loss of a close family member at a young age impacted April’s decision to pursue a medical career in cardiology. She is particularly encouraged by daily advancements in the field and finds it gratifying to see patients flourish after cardiac complications that were untreatable just a few short years ago.

An experienced Nurse Practitioner, April learned long ago that it is better to listen twice as much as she speaks, and she strives to practice that with her patients, especially on their first visit. April’s areas of expertise include coronary artery disease, women’s heart disease and heart failure.

Originally from rural south Georgia, April moved from Athens, Georgia to Williamsburg with her husband, two daughters and their Springer Spaniel. She loves our area’s proximity to the beach, mountains and history. In her free time, April enjoys travel, fitness, and watching the Georgia Bulldogs play football.
