About April Danielle Pulver, CNM

April D. Pulver, DNP, CNM, WHNP-BC, is a women’s health nurse practitioner and certified nurse midwife specializing in birth, postpartum recovery, contraception and perinatal mental health. She has advanced training in trauma-informed care and breastfeeding support. April is passionate about improving maternal outcomes for women and their families. 

April began her journey in health care by earning a Bachelor of Science in nursing from the University of Kansas in Kansas City. She went on to obtain her Master of Science in Nursing at Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia, and later received a Doctor of Nursing Practice from Georgetown University in Washington, DC. She is certified by the American Midwifery Certification Board and the National Certification Corporation.  

Compassionate, patient-centered care is important to April. She values helping people through life-changing moments and is dedicated to advocating for her patients.  

Outside of work, April enjoys staying active outdoors, spending time with her family and exploring creative outlets like art, photography and writing. She grew up in the Pacific Northwest and has lived around the world. She loves the blend of history, natural beauty and community in Yorktown.
