About Alneader Kenner-Woodard, CNM

Board-certified nurse midwife Alneader “Neada” Kenner-Woodard provides patient-centered, holistic care for women throughout all stages of life. After earning a Bachelor of Science in biology from Old Dominion University and her Associate of Applied Science in nursing from Riverside College of Health Careers, Neada went on to earn a Master of Science in nurse-midwifery from Frontier Nursing University. She is certified by the American Midwifery Certification Board.

Neada chose nurse-midwifery as her specialty because she is passionate about supporting women of all ages. As a nurse midwife, she strives to form respectful, therapeutic relationships with her patients. She is a strong advocate for women being involved in their health care and keeps her patients informed as they make care decisions.

Originally from Bronx, New York, Neada grew up in Isle of Wight County, where she still lives. She appreciates that Hampton Roads offers plenty of activities ranging from historical adventures in Jamestown to exploring nature at the Virginia Beach oceanfront. Neada is married with two children, and she enjoys traveling, reading and fabricating armor and props for costumes.
