Valerie Pelton, PA-C, is a cardiology provider who specializes in cardiac electrophysiology. She is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.

After earning a Master of Science in Physician Assistant studies from Le Moyne College, Valerie worked as a physician assistant at Oswego Health Cardiology in Oswego, New York. In New York, her practice focused on cardiology. In addition to managing patients’ cardiovascular conditions in the inpatient and outpatient settings, she also worked in the noninvasive cardiac lab supervising exercise, dobutamine and nuclear cardiac stress testing. Before that, Valerie worked as an EMT and as a home health aide.

Valerie has an interest in caring for underserved populations and always strives to provide patient-centered care. She feels honored to care for people in need and is eager to get to know her patients.

A native of Syracuse, New York, Valerie went to college and worked her first job in central New York. Valerie likes the beautiful scenery, history and the warmer weather in Hampton Roads. She enjoys reading, running, hiking and cooking and she has a bulldog named Gus.
