About Torry Miquel Pledger, MD

Torry Pledger, M.D., is a board-certified family medicine physician specializing in pediatrics, obesity, women’s health and sports medicine concerns. He provides care for patients of all ages—from newborns to older adults—and is dedicated to partnering with his patients through every stage of life. 

Dr. Pledger earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland in College Park and a master’s degree from Life University in Marietta, Georgia. He completed a medical degree from the Saint James School of Medicine in Anguilla and a family medicine residency at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, Illinois. He is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. 

Along with practicing medicine, Dr. Pledger enjoys being outdoors and participating in sports such as basketball, golf and cycling. Growing up in a military family, he has spent time all over the world and appreciates exploring local Virginia waterways and finding new fishing spots.
