About Sara Beth Matherly, AGPCNP

Sara graduated from the Riverside School of Professional Nursing before receiving her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Old Dominion University. She then earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Walden University in Minneapolis. Sara is board-certified as an Adult Gerontology Nurse Practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board.

With 10 years of nursing experience in oncology, intensive care and post-anesthesia care, Sara believes her job is an opportunity to provide the type of safe, effective, unprejudiced care that she would expect for her own family. Recognizing that urology encompasses a variety of sensitive topics, she feels it is essential to be compassionate, respectful and understanding of her patients’ needs.

A lifelong Hampton Roads local, Sara enjoys the accessibility of Virginia's beaches, mountains, cities and rural communities. She and her husband have a daughter and a son. In addition to spending time with them, Sara loves shopping, reading, cooking and boating.
