About Meghna Chopra, MD

Meghna Chopra, M.D., is a board-certified family medicine physician with special interests in lifestyle medicine, high blood pressure, women's health and diabetes. She has experience using knee and shoulder injections to manage osteoarthritis, pap smears and Nexplanon placement and removal. Dr. Chopra partners with patients, using lifestyle change and modern medicine to help improve their health and well-being.   

Dr. Chopra earned her medical degree from Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk and completed her family medicine residency at Riverside Regional Medical Center. She is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.  

Dr. Chopra’s care philosophy recognizes that good health means more than taking medicine. She loves to work with patients to see them make lifestyle changes and reverse chronic conditions like obesity, high blood pressure, diabetes and heart disease. As a result of her holistic approach, patients can gradually reduce the number of medications they need.   

A native of Arkansas and Tennessee, Dr. Chopra moved to Virginia for medical school and decided to stay. She and her husband spend their free time exploring local amenities and nearby cities. She enjoys digital art, writing, taking care of her plants and gaming.
