About Mary Elizabeth Adams, AGPCNP

 

Mary earned an Associate of Science in nursing from Henry Ford Community College in 2007. As a registered nurse, she continued her education, earning a Bachelor of Science in nursing from Walden University in 2014 and a Master of Science in nursing from the University of Michigan in 2017. Mary is board certified as an adult-gerontology primary care nurse practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.

Bringing a wide breadth of experience and training to her nursing practice, Mary is passionate about caring for adult patients, especially the elderly. She loves getting to know new people, establishing relationships with patients and working with them to achieve better health outcomes.

Mary has a special interest in health promotion and healthy lifestyles, as well as the treatment of hypertension and diabetes. She likes to use a team approach to empower her patients to manage chronic conditions and maintain their health in order to live long, happy lives.

Mary spent her life in southeastern Michigan before relocating to Hampton Roads in 2020. She is the mother of two adult children. In addition to spending time with her family, Mary enjoys traveling, reading, kayaking, hiking and quilting.
