About Madelyn Grace Keener, FNP

Madelyn G. Keener, FNP-C, is a urology nurse practitioner who cares for patients with kidney stones, urinary tract infections and prostate conditions. She practices compassionate, patient-centered care, considering the whole person rather than focusing on a single disease or illness. 

After earning a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, Madelyn worked as a registered nurse in surgical and orthopedic units, including at Riverside Walter Reed Hospital. She later earned a Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Purdue University Global. Madelyn is board certified through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board. 

What draws Madelyn to urology is helping patients improve their daily functioning so they can focus on enjoying life. She believes in active listening and works to promote collaboration with each patient. Madelyn enjoys working with patients across every stage of life and values the experiences that have shaped them. 

A Gloucester/Mathews native, Madelyn loves the community’s tight-knit feel and the beauty of the bay. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family (including two cats and two horses), horseback riding, tennis and boating.
