About Lisa Marie Knust, MD

 

Dr. Knust earned her medical degree from Virginia Commonwealth University’s Medical College of Virginia in 2003. In 2006, she completed residency training with Riverside Family Medicine in affiliation with VCU. Dr. Knust is board-certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.

As an experienced family medicine physician, Dr. Knust enjoys being able to care for people throughout the age spectrum and to consider the whole person when treating patients. She approaches her practice with the goal of working together with her patients to improve their health.

Originally from upstate New York, Dr. Knust enjoys our area’s warm weather and friendly people. She is a College of William & Mary alumna who enjoys traveling, running and reading.

She has always had a calm demeanor, never rattled by whatever the days events were before us, addresses my son directly first unless he wishes to defer to me and from my experience is very detailed with her explanation and welcomes questions. She is not my son's regular doctor but he likes her a lot.

I always have an excellent experience with my appointment with D. Knust. She listens to me and explains every thing thoroughly. When she sets me up for testing she explains what is and what to expect. I always have an excellent experience and I highly recommend Dr. Lisa M. Knust

I recommend Dr. Knust to anyone who will listen. I have gotten my husband (who normally eschews doc visits) to get on board with regular check up's because of how awesome she is. She is professional and always listens to every concern. She is very good about willingness to educate and give additional information. She is very good at exuding acceptance and being non-judgmental while giving medical treatment and advice. I am so thankful she is my doctor!!!

Dr. Knust, as always, is so very thorough she listens intently and does not rush me.. Then she discusses her thoughts and her feelings on where to go from there, and we come up with a plan together. Dr. Knust is extraordinary..I am so very grateful to be her patient. I am healthier because of her caring for me.
