About Laura Diane Kerbin, MD

 

After completing her medical degree and residency at Eastern VirginiaMedical School, Dr. Kerbin completed a medical oncology fellowship at Virginia Commonwealth University . She is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in internal medicine, medical oncology, and hospice and palliative medicine.

From a young age, Dr. Kerbin was inspired to pursue a career in oncology after seeing multiple members of her family affected by cancer. Experienced in treating a comprehensive range of cancers, including breast and lung, Dr. Kerbin values strong patient-physician relationships that emphasize informed, individualized decisions to improve care and healing.

Originally from the Eastern Shore of Maryland, Dr. Kerbin now enjoys the rich history and sense of community on Virginia’s Eastern Shore. Her hobbies include restoring the 200-year-old home she shares with her husband Rick, in addition to boating, cooking and entertaining.
