About Kayla Foster Bisgaier, PA-C

Kayla F. Bisgaier, PA-C, is a cardiothoracic surgery physician assistant with expertise in providing comprehensive care to patients before, during and after heart and lung surgery.  

Kayla earned a Bachelor of Science in chemistry from Penn State University in University Park, Pennsylvania. She then completed a Master of Medical Sciences in the Physician Assistant Program from Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston. She is board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. 

Kayla brings skill and passion into every aspect of care. Understanding that surgery can feel overwhelming, she ensures her patients feel heard, supported and informed. Her guiding principle is to treat each patient as if they were a member of her own family.  

Outside of work, Kayla loves spending time with her husband and two Huskies. They enjoy being outdoors exploring trails, walking their dogs and finding new spots to enjoy as a family. Kayla values the unique blend of seaside living and strong community spirit that eastern Virginia offers.
