About Jason Timothy Garrison Sr., MD

Dr. Garrison earned his medical degree from Eastern Virginia Medical School in 1986. After an internship at Riverside Regional Medical Center, he completed an emergency medicine residency at the Louisiana State University School of Medicine with Charity Hospital in 1990. With an interest in diving, he received additional training in hyperbaric medicine and has focused experience in advanced wound care treatment. Dr. Garrison is board-certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine with subspecialty certification in undersea and hyperbaric medicine.

Dr. Garrison is a highly experienced emergency, wound care and hyperbaric medicine physician who enjoys meeting the unique needs of patients of all ages. Skilled in problem solving and rapid decision-making, his expertise encompasses medical issues that affect all organ systems. A “straight shooter” who tells it like it is, Dr. Garrison believes in educating and advising his patients so that they can make fully informed decisions. He strives to share his thoughts, ideas and goals in entirety with each patient and caregiver.

A true local, Dr. Garrison grew up in the Western Branch area of Chesapeake and has lived on the Peninsula for nearly 30 years. With a love for water sports, he particularly enjoys our area’s climate and easy access to water. He also enjoys traveling. Dr. Garrison is married and the proud father of four grown children who are successfully pursuing their goals.
