Elyse is a board-certified family nurse practitioner dedicated to providing compassionate care in an approachable, friendly manner. She completed her Master of Science in Nursing at Old Dominion University in Norfolk and holds two bachelor’s degrees: one in biology from The University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg and a nursing degree from Hampton University College of Virginia Beach. She is specially trained to care for rural and medically underserved populations.

Born and raised in Suffolk, VA, Elyse has cared for patients in the region for more than eight years. Before joining Riverside, she treated spine surgery patients as a family nurse practitioner. As an RN, she also specialized in caring for patients before, during and after surgeries, including in the ICU.

Elyse understands that the most effective treatment involves the entire family and always makes a point to involve them in the process. In fact, she chose to pursue a career as a family nurse practitioner for the opportunity to work with entire families — and treat each patient as a member of her own.

Elyse can typically be found outdoors with her husband and young children: spending time on the beach, walking their dogs and exploring nature.
