About Donna Bernice Allen-Peebles, FNP

Donna earned both her Bachelor of Science in nursing and her Master of Science in nursing from Hampton University. She is board certified as a family nurse practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Prior to graduate school, her passion for cardiology led her to work in direct patient care and leadership roles in inpatient cardiac telemetry and cardiac rehabilitation.

Donna takes pride in her profession treating various cardiovascular diseases. She believes in treating the whole patient: physically, spiritually, psychologically, culturally and socially to achieve optimal health. She understands the importance of listening to patients and their families.

Donna understands that heart disease is the leading cause of death for women in the United States. She has learned that women experience unique symptoms, which has led to a special interest in womens' heart disease. 

Donna was raised here on the beautiful Peninsula. She thoroughly enjoys exercise, family time and travel.
