About Christy Louise Lewis, AGACNP
Christy L. Lewis, AG-ACNP, is an acute care nurse practitioner specializing in caring for cranial and spine surgery patients, individuals recovering from strokes and those experiencing traumatic brain injuries and spinal injuries. She chose neuroscience as her specialty due to the complexity of the brain and nervous system and how rewarding it is to work with patients navigating their acute illness and recovery.
Christy earned a Bachelor of Science in nursing from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia. She completed a Master of Nursing from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and an Adult and Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Program through the University of Colorado in Denver. She is board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
Christy is a dedicated and experienced provider. She values patient-centered, holistic care and empowers patients and their families to make informed decisions about their treatment plans.
When she’s not working, Christy enjoys staying active outdoors, caring for her garden and playing tennis and golf. Having lived all over the U.S., she appreciates coastal Virginia’s closeness to her family and numerous outdoor activities.
