About Charlie Micah Faulk, MD

After earning his medical degree from the Medical College of Virginia, Dr. Faulk completed his residency training at Hurley Medical Center in Flint, Michigan. He is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Dr. Faulk's gynecology and surgery practice is characterized by his passion for women's health and his lifelong commitment to service. With a daily emphasis on providing excellent care to his patients, extending support to family members whenever possible, he is sensitive to the many factors that influence quality of care.

A Certified Menopause Practitioner, Dr. Faulk promotes healthy aging in women, helping them find relief when they encounter menopause symptoms. He supports the use of low-dose vaginal estrogen products as well as standard estrogen replacement therapies, and will guide patients based on their individual risk factors. Patients who want to pursue alternatives to hormone replacement therapy will also find guidance and support in Dr. Faulk.

In addition to symptom relief, Dr. Faulk's expertise extends to complex procedures related to uterine fibroids, pelvic pain, pelvic floor disorders, urinary incontinence and other menopause disorders. He uses minimally-invasive surgical methods whenever possible.

Dr. Faulk is a concerned advocate for the health of his patients. His attention to current research and evidenced based medicine, balanced with a wealth of gynecological experience, makes him an optimal provider for many women. He proudly delivers surgical training to the Obstetrics & Gynecology residents who are part of the medical education program at Riverside.

A local native of Suffolk, Dr. Faulk enjoys the Hampton Roads area for its four-season weather and proximity to the ocean. An active member of his church, he spends much of his free time Sunday school and drama ministries. Dr. Faulk and his wife have four children.
