About Charles Myers Vaughan, MD

Dr. Vaughan completed his undergraduate degree at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, NC, and his medical degree at Bowman Gray School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, NC. Subsequently, he completed his residency in internal medicine at Eastern Virginia Graduate School of Medicine in Norfolk, VA, completing a year as chief resident. Additionally, he completed a fellowship in cardiovascular diseases at the Medical College of Georgia.

Dr. Vaughan is Board Certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular diseases and is a licensed nuclear cardiologist. He has been practicing cardiology since 1993. Dr. Vaughan's current practice includes non-invasive, invasive, and interventional cardiology.

Dr. Vaughan was friendly and easy to speak with. He listened and was attentive to view my previous history. He also expressed understanding of the complexities of health due to Gulf War Illness and how everything is not always clear when assessing or diagnosing. I feel confident he is listening and will direct my care and concerns appropriately.
