About Charles Kevin Phillips, MD

After earning his medical degree from the Medical College of Virginia at Virginia Commonwealth University in 1995, Dr. Phillips completed family medicine residency training with Riverside Health System in Newport News. He is board-certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.

Because he wanted to take care of patients of all ages, Dr. Phillips chose the specialty of family medicine and its variety of health care challenges. He meets those challenges with a broad spectrum of expertise and performs minor surgeries in the office.

In practice for 20 years, Dr. Phillips is an experienced physician named as a “Top Doc” by Coastal Virginia Magazine. He intentionally approaches his patients with kindness, active listening and respect for them and their time.

Dr. Phillips still enjoys living in his hometown of Poquoson, and he’s especially fond of our area’s close proximity to the beach and mountains. Outside of work, his time is spent hunting, fishing and being with family and friends. Dr. Phillips and his wife have four children.
