About Ashley Michelle Spaulding, FNP

Ashley Spaulding, FNP, is a board-certified family nurse practitioner focusing on primary care with special emphasis on preventive medicine, wellness and acute/chronic conditions. Ashley is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.

Ashley completed a Master of Science in nursing, family nurse practitioner, from Walden University. Earlier while working as registered nurse, she fell in love with the interaction between primary care providers and their patients. She chose primary care because she wanted to help patients prevent acute and chronic conditions and then, when needed, treat those conditions.

Her treatment philosophy is based on her strong belief that communication between medical providers and patients is important to build relationships. After 11 years of working as a registered nurse in outpatient care and neurology Ashley is excited to be working with patients as a certified nurse practitioner.

A Hampton Roads native, Ashley grew up in Suffolk and now lives in nearby Carrollton. She enjoys being close to the water and to historical areas. Her hobbies include reading, going to the beach, spending time outside and visiting new places. She is married with two children and two cats.
