About Anthony Waguih Farah, MD

Anthony Farah, MD specializes in LASIK Laser Vision Correction, Laser-assisted Cataract Surgery, and General Ophthalmology. As a native of Virginia, Dr. Farah graduated from the University of Virginia and then continued on to receive his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, PA, where he was selected into the prestigious medical honor society Alpha Omega Alpha and awarded several professionalism and service distinctions by senior faculty. He then went on to complete his ophthalmology residency at the internationally recognized Wills Eye Institute. At Wills Eye, Dr. Farah pursued his interest in cutting-edge technology with his research on the new ORA System — breakthrough technology that allows for refined intraocular lens calculations during cataract surgery. He has presented his research at several national conferences, most recently at the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.

As a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the International Society of Refractive Surgery, he is also certified for the CATALYS Precision Laser System for Laser Cataract Surgery and the VISX Excimer Laser for Laser Vision Correction.

Dr. Farah resides in Williamsburg with his wife, an alum of William & Mary, and their children.
