About Angela Marie DeRidder, MD

Angela M. DeRidder, M.D., M.P.H. is a fellowship trained oncologist and hematologist, board certified in internal medicine and medical oncology. After earning a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Maryland School of Medicine, Dr. DeRidder completed a residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in hematology/oncology, both at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore. She also has completed a Master of Public Health from the University of Maryland, College Park.

Dr. DeRidder has a special interest in treating breast cancer and chose oncology because she likes developing long-term relationships with her patients. Her practice philosophy emphasizes patient education and autonomy with her role focusing on helping patients and their families understand and navigate their diagnosis and make the best care decisions for their individual situation.

Having grown up on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, Dr. DeRidder appreciates the coastal life that living in Williamsburg provides. Married with two children, she enjoys spending time with her family experiencing the beauty and history of Hampton Roads, as well as reading and writing in her free time.
