About Angela Veronica Barco, FNP

Angela Barco, FNP, is a board-certified family nurse practitioner who specializes in family medicine from general pediatrics through adulthood. As a forensic and ER/trauma nurse for Riverside Health System, Angela has experience supporting patients through difficult circumstances, including sexual assault, trauma, human trafficking and domestic violence.

Angela earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing at the University of Texas Arlington and earned a Master of Science in nursing, family nurse practitioner, through Walden University in Minneapolis. She is board certified as a family nurse practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).

Angela chose family practice to make meaningful one-on-one connections with patients and help them become the healthiest versions of themselves. She is honored to serve the community and values being part of a health system dedicated to healing.

Angela is a valued community member and a proud recipient of numerous awards, including the Trauma Life Saver Award, the Brain Saver Award and the Heart Saver Award. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, watching her daughter compete in equestrian horseback riding competitions and watching movies.
