About Amanda Nadine Sheila Totten, WHNP

Amanda N. Totten, WHNP-BC, is a women’s health nurse practitioner who specializes in wellness exams, reproductive health, family planning and perinatal care. She is also trained in trauma care and forensic exams. 

Amanda earned a Bachelor of Science in nursing from Old Dominion University in Norfolk. She went on to complete a Master of Science in forensic nursing at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh. Amanda holds a graduate certificate as a women’s health nurse practitioner from Kent State University in Kent, Ohio and is certified by the National Certification Corporation. 

Amanda is passionate about empowering her patients to make informed health care decisions. She is known for her compassionate, nonjudgmental approach and treats patients and their families the way she would want to be treated. 

When she’s not caring for patients, Amanda enjoys gardening and spending time with loved ones. She also takes advantage of the many activities available in Hampton Roads, including hiking, swimming, shopping and visiting local restaurants.
