About Abdul Hussain Azizi, MD

A. Hussain Azizi, M.D., is an interventional cardiologist who uses minimally invasive catheters and advanced imaging to diagnose and treat blocked or narrowed arteries impacting blood flow to the heart. He helps patients with serious heart problems by opening clogged arteries and supporting the heart during advanced procedures. 

Dr. Azizi earned his Bachelor of Science in biology from the University of Scranton in Scranton, Pennsylvania. He obtained a medical degree at Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine and finished an internal medicine residency at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia. He completed a cardiovascular disease fellowship at Christiana Care Health Services in Wilmington, Delaware, and an interventional cardiology fellowship at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia. Dr. Azizi is board certified in cardiovascular disease and internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine and in nuclear cardiology by the American Board of Nuclear Cardiology. He is also board certified in adult comprehensive echocardiography by the National Board of Echocardiography. 

Dr. Azizi believes in treating each patient as he would treat a family member – with dignity, respect and attention to detail. He takes the time to explain every step of care in an easy-to-understand manner so patients feel confident and supported. As someone who values cultural understanding, he works hard to connect with people from all backgrounds.  

When he’s not working, Dr. Azizi enjoys fitness, hiking, reading and spending quality time with his family. He appreciates the region’s blend of natural beauty, historical charm and community.
