Dr. Jasmine Novell is originally from Centreville, VA. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Professional Science with a minor in Chemistry from Virginia Commonwealth University and Doctor of Pharmacy from Shenandoah University Bernard J. Dunn School of Pharmacy. She chose Riverside Health for PGY1 residency because of the diverse core, longitudinal and elective learning experiences. Dr. Novell is excited to further develop her clinical skills, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and care for patients at Riverside Health. Her practice interests include ambulatory care, oncology, and specialty pharmacy. Upon completion of residency, she plans to pursue a second year of residency in one of her clinical interest areas. In the future, she hopes to obtain board certification and practice as a clinical pharmacist where she can deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in an outpatient setting. Outside of residency, she enjoys traveling, trying new restaurants, participating in outdoor activities, and spending time with family.

Ashley Zawislak, PharmD

Ashley Zawislak, PharmD, is a recent graduate from the Bernard J. Dunn School of Pharmacy in Winchester, VA and is currently pursuing a Master of Public Health through Shenandoah University with a projected graduation date of May 2026. As a pharmacist, Ashley’s interests include ambulatory care emphasizing diabetes management and clinical community pharmacy, including medication therapy management and transitions of care. After residency, she hopes to continue working in these disciplines while being a full-time faculty member at a school or college of pharmacy.

Ashley believes in advocating for the profession of pharmacy through community service. Having served two years as the Patient Care Vice President for Shenandoah’s chapter of APhA-ASP, she had the opportunity to help coordinate student pharmacists’ participation in several local health fairs and the school’s annual Medicare Part D event. This event provided Medicare beneficiaries with a medication reconciliation and support in navigating the Medicare Open Enrollment website. In addition, Ashley is also an active Alumni Brother of Phi Delta Chi pharmacy fraternity.

In her free time, Ashley enjoys being curled up with a good historical fiction novel or watching whatever sports are in season with her husband, Joe.
