Laura Branham

Laura earned her Bachelor of Science in athletic training from Western Carolina University in Cullowhee, North Carolina, as well as a Master of Business Administration from Averett University in Danville, Virginia. She is a Certified Athletic Trainer credentialed by the national Board of Certification in addition to being a Virginia Licensed Athletic Trainer.

A lifelong love of healthcare and sports led Laura to pursue athletic training, a specialty in which she enjoys working both in the orthopedic clinic setting and on the athletic field. Focusing on orthopedic preventative treatment and rehabilitation for college athletes, Laura provides coverage for women's volleyball and softball at Christopher Newport University and works closely with our orthopedic surgeons.

Laura is supportive of the growing trend towards integrative care that incorporates treatment by athletic trainers, physical therapists, orthopedic physicians and surgeons, which aligns with her own commitment to put the patient first.

Originally from Columbia, South Carolina, Laura enjoys the variety of things to do in Hampton Roads, as well as the close proximity to the beach. Her hobbies include painting and reading.
