Emily J. Chaikin, P.A.
Ms. Chaikin received her Bachelor of Science degree from Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, NC before earning a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. She is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and a member of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, Virginia Academy of Physician Assistants and the Virginia Academy of Sleep Medicine.
Ms. Chaikin has been practicing as a physician assistant in Virginia since 2000, joining Riverside in 2006. She currently specializes in sleep medicine and neurology. She is primarily interested in management of sleep apnea including CPAP therapy, restless legs syndrome, insomnia and hypersomnolence disorders including narcolepsy. She makes it a point to treat the patient rather than the problem and provides quality care alongside compassion. Her goal is to provide accurate and appropriate information related to each patient's condition and to educate them on diagnosis, testing and treatment options.
Ms. Chaikin grew up in Williamsburg and returned after several years away with her husband and two boys. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, playing tennis, practicing yoga, biking, swimming and skiing.
