For more than 100 years Riverside has been committed to the communities we serve. In 2017, as we look to celebrate forty years of serving the Middle Peninsula, we are excited to share our plans for expansion and renovation on the Riverside Walter Reed Campus.

When complete, we will have an expanded 18 bed Emergency Department with a Family Care Room dedicated to the comfort and well-being of family members during what may be one of the most difficult times in their lives. This renovation expands our emergency department from 6,300 square feet to more than 16,000 square feet including 3 new state-of-the-art treatment rooms and a trauma room.

We will relocate the main entrance of the hospital to Gloucester's Main Street and Medical Drive, where the current Medical Arts Building entrance is located. Renovations will include a new lobby, registration and waiting area, gift shop and much more.

Adjacent to the north side of the Medical Arts Building, we are constructing a new two–story building (see camera footage on this page) that will house all Surgical Services including 3 new state-of-the-art operating suites, pre-operative and post-operative recovery areas along with 36 private patient rooms located on the second floor.

We have recently completed the renovation and relocation of Outpatient Imaging including Mammography, Outpatient CT, Bone Density and Ultrasound. This Outpatient Imaging Suite is located in the Medical Arts Building and includes the addition of 3D Mammography services.

Future campus construction and renovation includes a new suite for our Orthopedic practices, an expansion of the Middle Peninsula Cancer Center as well as additional campus parking.

We are committed to serving our communities, our patients, their families and our team members. That commitment is reflected in our investment in the bricks and mortar of our facilities, but more importantly in the living of our mission to care for others as we would care for those we love - to enhance their well-being and improve their health.

We are excited to be a part of this amazing journey to improving health care on the Middle Peninsula and we hope you will join us in the excitement!
