Event on March 22 is Open to the Public and will Explore Symptoms, Stages and Care Options for Dementia Patients and their Loved Ones
Tappahannock, Va. – Just as the seasons change, so do our brains. The critical period to determine how much these changes will affect us is between 40 and 65 years of age. And just as we prepare for the changing seasons, we must prepare for our next season of life with knowledge and confidence.
That’s the goal of a free lecture on “Dementia Prevention and Healthy Aging,” hosted by Riverside Health System from 3 to 4 p.m. on March 22 at The Orchard in Warsaw. The lecture will be presented by board-certified neurologist Lanre Agbe-Davies, M.D., MPH who will discuss key topics including:
- Different types of dementia
- At-home care vs. adult living facilities
- Clinical symptoms
- Stages of dementia and healthy living
- Treatment options
Space is limited. Interested attendees should RSVP by Tuesday, March 20 by calling 804-445-2647.
