Samuel G. Adediran, MD
Cancer Care, Medical Oncology, Hematology/Oncology

Dr. Adediran earned his medical degree from the Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine in Dayton, Ohio. He completed an internal medicine residency with Lehigh Valley Health Network in Pennsylvania, where he remained for a fellowship in hematology and medical oncology. Dr. Adediran is board-certified in internal medicine, hematology and medical oncology.
The often-challenging task of choosing a medical specialty became simplified for Dr. Adediran when he began caring for people diagnosed with cancer. He continues to consider it a valuable opportunity to journey alongside his patients and their families as they undergo treatment. Recognizing the dynamic nature of oncology, Dr. Adediran hopes that the field’s growing understanding about immunotherapy will lead to effective treatment for more patients.
A general medical oncologist and hematologist, Dr. Adediran has special interests in treating gastrointestinal and genitourinary cancers, soft tissue malignancies and lymphomas. In every case, he regards patients as his family, caring for them as such.
New to Hampton Roads, Dr. Adediran and his wife were attracted to the area’s warm weather and closeness to the water. In his free time, Dr. Adediran frequently reads about history and other non-fiction topics, believing that knowledge of the past fosters an appreciation for the present. He also enjoys an occasional tennis match or casual hike.
