Care options

Patriots Colony's reputable continuum of specialty care services is open to the public for direct admission from the community. In other words, there is no "career eligibility criteria" for assisted living, memory care or skilled nursing care as there is for independent living.

All Patriots Colony independent living residents have guaranteed priority access to The Berkeley Assisted Living, Springhouse Memory Care and our skilled nursing care within the Convalescent Center and Rehabilitation Services – giving them priority over outside admissions – which also offers peace of mind about who will provide for their future care needs.

At every level of care, health services are provided by physicians and providers from Riverside Health System, the area's leader in innovative, research-based care and support for aging adults. No other retirement community can match our quality of service and clinical expertise. Our continuum of care options include:

• Rehabilitation
  As a hospital patient recovering from surgery, illness or injury, you want to recover as quickly as possible. Patriots Colony Rehabilitation Center serves as a bridge between the hospital and the community, helping you to return to your highest possible level of activity and independence.
• Respite Service
  A short-term, temporary stay for senior guests that allows caregivers or family to travel or simply take a little time off to recharge and keep life in balance.
• The Berkeley Assisted Living
  Residents live independently through occasional help with activities of daily living, such as bathing and dressing.
• Springhouse Memory Support
  A comfortable memory care residence designed to effectively care for those with Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia.
• Skilled Nursing Care
  Around-the-clock nursing care (also called Convalescent Center and Rehabilitation Services) in a first-class setting. Patriots Colony skilled nursing also provides care for guests recovering after surgery, illness or injury, with the expertise of Riverside Health System including therapy services.
• Riverside Health System
  As part of Riverside, Patriots Colony shares the same value of preventative and proactive approach to wellness. Riverside focuses on patient-centered care. With the Riverside Doctors' Hospital Williamsburg nearby, residents and guests can feel assured there is clinical support in the event of greater medical needs.
