Pam Doshier

Pam Doshier, Administrator at The Orchard, has over 35 years of experience and background in long-term care as a licensed nursing home administrator. She holds a graduate degree in health care administration and is a Certified Dementia Practitioner. Throughout her career, Pam has been very active in Virginia Health Care Association by serving on and chairing various committees. In addition, she served as chair for the Central District of VHCA for two terms. Volunteering has also been a significant part of her health care career. She served as chairman of the board for the Waynesboro YMCA for two years; member of the executive board for the Waynesboro YMCA for three years; board member for the Free Dental Clinic of Augusta County; member of various committees for the Jefferson Board for the Aging; president-elect for the Kiwanis of Waynesboro; currently, participant in a grant for telemental health services; and a member of the project board for the Warsaw branch of Rappahannock Community College.

Jihyun Im, M.D.
Medical Director - Specializing in Geriatric MedicineJihyun Im, MD

Board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and Geriatric Medicine, Jihyun Im, M.D. specializes in geriatric syndromes, pain/symptom management, and end-of-life care. After completing an internal medicine residency at Chicago Medical School at Rosalind Franklin University, Dr. Im completed two fellowships at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, first in geriatrics and the second fellowship in hospice and palliative medicine. Dr. Im earned her medical degree at the Kyungpook National University College of Medicine in Korea. She is a member of the American Geriatrics Society and American College of Physicians. Dr. Im is bilingual in English and Korean.

Dr. Im enjoys working with patients and their families to help them achieve their health care goals. She provides hospice and palliative care consults to primary care physicians and hospitalists and engages as a key partner in managing the unique care needs of patients with complex illness and chronic conditions.

Joe Durham, PT, DPT, MSHA
Director of Rehabilitation, Northern Neck and Tappahannock Region, Riverside Therapy GroupJoe Durham

A native of southern Illinois, Joe Durham, PT, DPT, MSHA and his wife, Catherine, have lived in Mechanicsville for more than two decades. He earned a Bachelor of Science in physical therapy from St. Louis University, and then a Master of Science in physical therapy and Master of Science in health Aaministration from Virginia Commonwealth University. Joe continued on to both a doctorate in physical therapy from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2006. Prior to joining Riverside, Joe spent 25 years in private practice with offices in Mechanicsville and West Point. Working with Riverside Tappahannock Hospital and The Orchard, Joe sees this dual role as instrumental in providing the most efficient and effective rehabilitation for inpatient, outpatient and skilled-care patients.

Elsie Mangano, FNP-BCElsie Mangano

Elsie Mangano, FNP-BC earned her graduate degree in nursing from Old Dominion University and is a certified Family Nurse Practitioner. Elsie specializes in geriatric medicine and considers the longevity in her family as part of her inspiration for working with older adults. She appreciates each patient’s journey and focuses on increased independence and adhering to the Riverside care difference promise to treat patients like family. As a native of the Northern Neck, Elsie relishes the peace of rural Virginia. She spends her spare time traveling, participating in church activities and enjoying time with her family, including 12 grandchildren.

Laura “Brooke” Bowles, RN

Laura Bowles, RN, began her nursing career with Riverside in 2011.

A Northern Neck native, Laura joined The Orchard as a Nurse Manager in 2014, became the Assistant Director of Nursing in 2015 and today serves as the Director of Nursing.

Susie Banker, RN, MSN, CNS, LNHA
Assistant Director of Nursing

Susie Banker, RN, MSN, CNS, LNHA serves as The Orchard’s Assistant Director of Nursing. She graduated from the University of Northern Colorado where she earned both undergraduate and graduate degrees in nursing. Before joining Riverside, she served as a director of nursing for a skilled nursing facility and worked with the North Colorado Medical Center as the Director of Family Medicine and Multi-Specialist clinic, Director of Med/Surg. She’s also served as an administrator for a hospital-based skilled nursing unit and as the director for various specialty services units.

Rachia Smith
Director of Business OperationsRachia Smith

Rachia Smith, Director of Business Operations at The Orchard, has served residents in the long-term care field for 13 years.

Prior to joining Riverside, she worked at two assisted living facilities in North Carolina. In her current role, Rachia is responsible for assisting residents and their families with their accounts.

Anne English
Director of Assisted LivingAnne English

Born and raised in Warsaw, Anne English earned a nursing degree from the Northampton-Accomack School of Nursing on the Eastern Shore of Virginia and has spent her nearly four decades in nursing working with older adults.

Before joining Riverside, Anne worked for Warsaw Health Care Center.

Faith Marks
Director of Social ServicesFaith Marks

Faith Marks, a graduate of Northumberland High School, attended Rappahannock Community College and Liberty College before starting work as a certified nursing assistant at the Warsaw Health Care Center. Faith ultimately channeled her nursing background into serving residents in a social services capacity. Before joining Riverside and The Orchard, Faith worked with the Community Services Board as a MR/MH Case Manager and as a Regional Manager with Heart Havens and their group homes.

Karen Wilkins
Director of MarketingKaren Wilkins

Karen Wilkins is a native of the Northern Neck and has worked in marketing and public relations for more than two decades, most of which has been in the health care field.

Before joining Riverside in 2015, Karen worked with hospice and home care.

Billy Courtney
Director of Environmental Services and MaintenanceBilly Courtney

Billy Courtney joined Riverside in 1986 and moved to The Orchard’s team in 2002.

Before becoming the Director of Environmental Services and Maintenance, Billy was the community’s maintenance technician.

Jason Houck
Director of Food ServiceJason Houck

Jason Houck, Director of Food Service, graduated from culinary school in 1996 and before joining Riverside managed a 300-seat restaurant, worked in privately-owned restaurants, supervised the delivery of more than 4,000 meals per day for the Department of Corrections and then in 2011 began working with older adults in long-term care. Jason holds Certified Dietary Manager credentials, a ServSafe instructor certification and has been active in the culture change movement within retirement communities. In his free time, Jason remains active in sports and coaches high school wrestling and youth football.

Debbie Hundley
Director of Recreational TherapyDebbie Hundley

An Essex County native through and through, Deborah Anne Hence Hundley has worked with older adults for more than three decades. She first joined The Orchard as an Activity Aide, then moved up to Activity Group Leader, Activity Coordinator and today serves as the Activity Director. She resides in the community with her husband and in her free time enjoys spending time with family.

Jessie Tucker
Household Mentor

A Louisiana native, Jessie Tucker moved to Virginia in 2008. She studied biology, psychology and recreation at Ferrum College and has worked in the recreation field as an outdoor leader and wilderness trainer, planning activities and experiences. She brings that background to The Orchard as a Household Mentor. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and being outdoors.
