Meet our Midlife Care Experts

Riverside Women's Midlife Collective brings together menopause clinicians and specialized care experts to help you feel your best today while taking proactive steps to protect your health for the future. Through personalized care focused on quality of life, prevention and healthy aging, we're here to support your long-term health and well-being through midlife and beyond.

Midlife Care Consultations

A midlife care consultation can help you understand the physical and emotional changes that often occur during midlife. We’ll take the time to listen, get to know you, review your health history and explore what’s behind the symptoms you’re experiencing.

When appropriate, we may recommend lab work or an additional evaluation to determine whether your symptoms are related to midlife, and underlying health condition or both. If needed, you may be referred to other specialists within the Midlife Collective who bring specialized expertise to the unique health needs of women in midlife.

Together, we’ll create a personalized plan focused on improving your quality of life and supporting your long-term health. As your needs evolve, we’ll continue to monitor your progress, assess how you are responding to treatment and help guide your care over time. And when additional support is needed, you’ll have access to Riverside specialist

Medical Weight Management

Changes in hormones, metabolism, muscle mass, sleep and stress can make weight more difficult to manage during midlife. Riverside’s medical weight-management specialists can help you explore personalized options, including nutrition, physical activity, behavioral support and weight-management medications such as GLP-1 therapy when clinically appropriate.
Nutrition Consultations

The nutrition needs of women often change during midlife. Hormonal changes, shifts in metabolism and other health factors can affect weight, energy and overall wellness. During your midlife care consultation, your provider may recommend a referral to a nutrition specialist who works collaboratively with your Midlife Collective team.

Bone Health | Osteoporosis

Declining estrogen during and after menopause can accelerate bone loss, often without noticeable symptoms. Bone-health specialists can assess your risk, recommend appropriate screening and help protect bone strength as you age.

Integrative | Lifestyle | Functional Medicine

Sleep, nutrition, movement and stress can influence how you feel throughout midlife. Integrative and lifestyle medicine specialists look at the whole person and help you build realistic, sustainable strategies that support your symptoms and long-term health.

Urogynecology

Bladder leakage, urinary urgency, vaginal changes and pelvic discomfort can become more common during perimenopause and menopause, but they are not something you simply have to live with. Urogynecology and pelvic-floor therapy can help identify the cause and provide treatment to improve comfort, function and confidence.
Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy

Pelvic floor physical therapy can help address concern such as bladder leakage, pelvic pain, painful intercourse, urinary urgency and other changes that commonly occur in midlife. Our skilled, specially trained pelvic floor physical therapists provide compassionate, personalized care exercises, education, and lifestyle strategies designed to improve function, reduce symptoms and support long-term pelvic health.

Endocrine Disorders | Thyroid | Diabetes | Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome

Thyroid conditions, diabetes, insulin resistance and polyendocrine metabolic ovarian syndrome (PMOS) previously referred to as polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) can affect weight, energy, sleep, mood and menstrual cycles, sometimes in ways that resemble perimenopause. An endocrinology evaluation can help identify what may be contributing to and guide the appropriate treatment.
Mental Health

Hormonal changes, poor sleep and the demands of midlife can contribute to anxiety, irritability, low mood or feeling less emotionally steady. During your midlife care consultation, your provider will assess your needs and, when appropriate, connect you with a Riverside mental health professional as part of your coordinated care.
