Nutrition Services

Wholesome, nourishing and well-balanced meals contribute to your good health and help speed recovery. Our nutrition services staff prepares nutritious meals that follow your doctor’s orders and match your preferences as much as possible.

Patient meal service hours:
Breakfast: 7 a.m. – 9:45 a.m.
Lunch: 11 a.m. – 1:45 p.m.
Dinner: 4 p.m. – 5:45 p.m.

Sometimes patients are having tests or procedures during meal delivery times. We will serve these patients as soon as possible after testing.

Family members or friends may buy meals from the cafeteria to take to patient rooms at mealtimes. We can also deliver a guest meal tray to your room during regular delivery hours. Our Nutrition Services Department can provide more information on buying guest meal trays and having them delivered.

Dietitians

The hospital staff includes full-time registered dietitians, available seven days a week to meet your nutritional needs during your hospital stay. If you have questions about your diet restrictions, or if you have special nutrition needs please contact the Nutrition office.

Cafeteria

The cafeteria at Riverside Regional Medical Center is open daily for employees and visitors. It is located on the main floor of the medical center.

Cafeteria Hours:
Breakfast: 6:30 - 10 a.m.
Lunch: 11 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Dinner (M-F): 4:30 - 8 p.m.
Late Night (M-F): 9:30 p.m. – 4 a.m.

Grand Grounds Coffee Kiosk

Located in the medical center’s Tower lobby, the Grand Grounds Coffee Kiosk offers a variety of Starbucks Coffee blends, delicious baked goods, gourmet desserts, freshly made sandwiches and salads, snack items and other refreshments for your convenience.

Kiosk Service Hours:
Monday – Friday: 6 a.m. – 7 p.m.
Saturday, Sunday: 8 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Vending machines

Vending machines are located near the Protection Console in the cafeteria as well as throughout the medical center. These machines offer a variety of snacks and beverages 24 hours a day.

Outpatient nutrition services

Registered dietitians are available by appointment to provide outpatient clinical nutrition services for any medical condition that may be affected by diet.
