Emergency and Trauma Care

To many patients, the Emergency Room is a scary place. Emergencies happen and when they do, we want to be the best part of your worst day. Our goal is to practice exceptional medicine in a caring, reassuring and efficient setting.

We are always working on ways to improve service to our patients and I want to let you know of recent changes we made:

  • By adding five additional Emergency Medicine Physicians to the staff, we've cut in half the time it takes for you to be seen by a physician.
  • If your physician is part of Riverside Medical Group, he or she may call our patient Transfer Center to alert us you are on your way, providing any known information about your symptoms or condition. This insures good coordination with your doctor and streamlines and enhances emergency treatment. If you do not have a Riverside physician and would like us to help put you in touch with one, please use our Find A Doctor search tool or call Riverside Nurse at 757-595-6363.

Feedback concerning your emergency care experience helps us maintain the highest standards possible. If you are dissatisfied with our service in any way, please contact us right away. We take your comments seriously and our goal is to respond to you within 24 hours.

It is my hope that you and your family never have a medical situation requiring emergency treatment. But if you do, know that my staff and I are fully committed to making sure the experience is nothing less than exceptional.
