Dietician's Tip: This recipe makes more simple syrup than you'll need. Keep the extra in the refrigerator for several days.

Simple syrup:

  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup water

  • 2 cups ice
  • 1/2 cup fresh lime juice
  • 3 tablespoons simple syrup
  • Cut fresh fruit to garnish

In a small saucepan, heat sugar and water. Stir until sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat and chill.

In a blender, add ice, juice and simple syrup. Blend until smooth, pour in favorite chilled glass and garnish rim with cut fruit.
