Dietician's Tip: To test carrots for doneness, pull out a slice while boiling and check it for tenderness.

  • 2 cups sliced carrots
  • 2 teaspoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh sage
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt

Directions

Fill a medium pot with water and bring to a boil. Add carrots and boil for about 5 minutes until fork tender. Drain and set aside. Preheat a medium saute pan and add butter.
