Join us for an engaging and insightful Lunch-n-Learn exploring the often-overlooked topic of men’s mental health as they age. Men are often encouraged to express their emotions - until they grow older. This thought-provoking session examines the paradox of emotional expectations placed on aging men, the roots of irritability, and how we can better support healthy emotional expression rather than suppression.

Presenter:
Mike Verano, LPC, LMFT, CEAP, CCISM, BC-TMH, CCTP, CFRC
Mike Verano is a highly experienced licensed therapist with over 30 years in the mental health field. A nationally recognized speaker, he holds multiple certifications including trauma, tele-mental health, and critical incident stress management. Mike has published extensively in national and international outlets, contributes regularly to Psychology Today and CURE Magazine, and is the author of several books focused on stress, mindfulness, and cancer survivorship.

Family Infant CPR Class

It's unlikely the need for performing CPR would arise, but if it did you would want to know exactly what to do. This class will share how to recognize the need for CPR and basic CPR will be presented. No certification will be provided.

Classes will be held on one Saturday each month from 1:00 – 2:30 pm. Your instructor will meet you in the Tower Entrance Lobby and escort you to the classroom.

Classes are held at Riverside Regional Medical Center, Newport News, VA in the WICU Classroom on the 2^nd floor of the Tower Entrance.

Attendance is limited to the expectant mother and 1 additional adult, therefore ONLY the expectant mother needs to register for this course. Registration will close once we have reached capacity.
