About Shawke A Soueidan, MD

Dr. Soueidan received his medical degree from the American University of Beirut. He completed an internship and neurology residency at the Emory University School of Medicine. Dr. Soueidan is fellowship trained in neuromuscular disorders through the National Institutes of Health. He is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.

Dr. Soueidan holds a particular interest in neuromuscular disorders, headaches, neuropathy and dementia disorders, including Alzheimer's disease. Always fascinated by the brain and nervous system, he began his career in neurophysiology and holds a master's degree in physiology from the American University of Beirut.

Dr. Soueidan has been serving the Hampton Roads community for nearly 30 years. He speaks French and Arabic and enjoys cooking and spending time with his wife and four daughters.
