About Roya Sedghi, MD

Roya Sedghi, M.D., is a board-certified internal medicine physician specializing in common chronic health conditions such as high blood pressure, diabetes, thyroid disease and high cholesterol, as well as treating a range of health issues from urinary tract infections to pneumonia. Dr. Sedghi enjoys providing comprehensive care for adults of all ages and has a special interest in using lifestyle medicine, such as healthy diet and exercise, in coordination with traditional medicine.

Dr. Sedghi attended Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk and completed her internal medicine residency training at George Washington University Medical Center in Washington, D.C. Before joining Riverside, she ran a successful private practice for over 20 years.

As a strong patient advocate, Dr. Sedghi believes in empowering her patients through education. She strives to meet the needs of each one with compassion and empathy. Establishing healthy lifestyle habits to prevent and treat disease is a big focus of her practice.

When not at work, Dr. Sedghi enjoys daily exercise, playing piano, dancing, hiking, dining out with friends and spending time with her adult sons.
