About Roshan Acharya, MD

Roshan Acharya, M.D., is a pulmonary and critical care physician specializing in advanced asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), lung nodules, lung cancer, pulmonary hypertension, interstitial lung disease and endobronchial ultrasound-guided transbronchial biopsies.   

Dr. Acharya earned his medical degree from Tribhuvan University, Maharajgunj Medical Campus in Kathmandu, Nepal. He completed his residency at the Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell-Staten Island University Hospital in Staten Island, New York. He is board certified in internal medicine and pulmonary medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine.  

Dr. Acharya values active listening and shared decision-making with his patients. He works with and for his patients, taking time to understand their needs and health goals.  

When he’s not at work, he enjoys traveling and taking road trips with his family. He enjoys coastal Virginia’s warm weather and is honored to serve the people of our historic area.
