About Rigoberto Arteaga Jr., OD
Rigoberto Arteaga, O.D., is an optometrist specializing in ocular disease, glaucoma, age-related macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy. He fell in love with optometry while working for an optical chain and followed his passion into a career in optometry and ophthalmology.
Dr. Arteaga earned his Doctor of Optometry at Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University in Elkins Park, Pennsylvania, and his undergraduate degree at Eastern Illinois University in Charleston, Illinois. He shares his expertise as an adjunct professor at numerous universities, including his alma mater. Dr. Arteaga is a member of the National Association of Veterans Affairs Optometrists (NAVAO), the National Capital Region Federal Optometry Service and the American Academy of Optometry.
Dr. Arteaga is a family man who prides himself in treating his patients as family members. He enjoys spending time with his wife and children. His hobbies include home improvement projects, carpentry and fishing.
