Dr. Shockley attended the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, and remained to serve her internship. She completed her Ophthalmology residency at Emory University.

She is Board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, and is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. In addition to medical ophthalmology, Dr. Shockley performs in-office plastic surgery as well as laser treatments, and offers Botox and Juvaderm treatments that help revitalize patients' appearance.

My experience was good with Doctor Shockley. Dr Shockley also reminded me of findings from last visit and informed me of my personal care due to early onset of cataracts. For example, wearing sunglasses when in the sun and in the car during daytime. Also informed me that chemotherapy patients usually have dry eyes, which I do and to moisturize them. Dr Shockley listened and gave good care.
