About Mackenzie Goodrich, DO

Mackenzie E. Goodrich, D.O., is a breast surgical oncologist who treats patients with breast cancer, high-risk breast lesions, rare breast tumors and non-cancerous breast conditions. She has special interests in women’s health, breast cancer during pregnancy and caring for men with breast cancer.  Her surgical expertise includes mastectomy, lumpectomy, axillary lymph node biopsy and dissection with reverse lymphatic mapping.  

Dr. Goodrich earned a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts, followed by her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Burrell College of Osteopathic Medicine in Las Cruces, New Mexico. She completed her general surgery residency at Carilion Clinic–Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine in Roanoke, and a breast surgical oncology fellowship at the University of Massachusetts-Baystate in Springfield, Massachusetts. She is board certified in general surgery by the American Board of Surgery. 

Dr. Goodrich provides personalized, evidence-based care through every stage of the patient’s journey, from diagnosis and treatment to recovery and survivorship.  She works closely with a multidisciplinary team to develop a care plan centered on each patient’s individual needs. Having been a patient herself, she understands the importance of caring for the whole person and helping patients and their families feel heard, informed and supported. 

Originally from Bristol, Connecticut, Dr. Goodrich enjoys exploring the area's history and local food with her husband and family. In her free time, she likes visiting the lake and beach, going to hot yoga and relaxing with her family and their black Labrador mix.
