About Lauren Elisabeth Salmon, DO

After earning her medical degree from the Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Blacksburg, Dr. Salmon completed an internal medicine residency at Christiana Care Hospital in Newark, Delaware. She also completed fellowship training in hematology and oncology at East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina. Dr. Salmon is board-certified in internal medicine,hematology and medical oncology.

Drawn to the specialties of medical oncology and hematology for their countless opportunities to develop meaningful relationships with patients, Dr. Salmon finds the field equally as challenging as it is rewarding.She utilizes a holistic approach to treat not only the disease, but also the patient as a whole. With special interests in breast and gastrointestinal cancers, she strives to incorporate symptom management, mental well-being and spiritual support into the treatment plan for every patient.

Dr. Salmon was born and raised on the eastern shore of Maryland. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters, relaxing at the beach, horseback riding and traveling.
