About Jamie Marie Stone, PA

After receiving a bachelor’s degree in biological sciences from Virginia Tech in 2008, Jamie earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Old Dominion University in 2013. She went on to earn a Master of Physician Assistant degree from Eastern Virginia Medical School in 2019. Jamie is board-certified as a Physician Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.

Jamie developed a passion for the care and management of critically ill patients during her five years as an intensive care unit nurse. As a Physician Assistant, she continues to implement the critical-thinking skills and solid medical knowledge she gained during that time. Jamie is experienced in meeting the challenges of the fast-paced ICU environment and places high importance on connecting with patients and their family members.

Compassionate and respectful, Jamie believes that all patients deserve the right to be properly informed and participate in the decision-making of their care. She makes it her goal to ensure that her patients understand their medical diagnoses and have an opportunity to voice their questions or concerns.

A local from Portsmouth, Jamie loves living near the beaches and rivers of Hampton Roads, as well as the variety of events and festivals offered in our area. She likes to spend her free time enjoying nature, whether paddleboarding, hiking or going to the beach. She also enjoys Zumba fitness classes.
