About Gretchen Arnold, PA-C

Gretchen L. Arnold, PA-C, is a board-certified physician assistant specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of urologic conditions, including benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), recurrent urinary tract infections, kidney stones, erectile dysfunction and overactive bladder. She has experience in urology, primary care, interventional pain management and walk-in clinic settings. Although her work in urology focuses on specific conditions, Gretchen's medical philosophy is to always keep the patient’s overall health in mind.

Gretchen earned her Master of Physician Assistant degree from Eastern Virginia Medical School. She also holds a master’s degree in biology from the University of Virginia, as well as a bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Gretchen strives to provide a respectful and compassionate approach, so that patients are comfortable discussing their health concerns. She sees every appointment as an opportunity to build the patient-provider relationship, helping patients understand possible options to improve their health.

Before beginning her career in medicine, Gretchen worked as a marine scientist and consultant, leading research and environmental projects. She brings that same curiosity, analytical thinking and commitment to lifelong learning to every patient she cares for.
