About Denise Yvette Duhon, MD

Dr. Duhon earned her medical degree from the Louisiana State University School of Medicine in 1986. She completed internal medicine residency training at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. Dr. Duhon is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.

Dr. Duhon has practiced internal medicine with Riverside since 1994, finding it exciting to see new and improved treatments develop over the years. She hopes to see increasingly effective prevention and treatment for dementia, diabetes, obesity and infectious diseases.

As an internist, Dr. Duhon loves the wide range of patients and illnesses that she is able to treat. Her goal is to make every patient’s life better and, as a Christian, to do her job in a way that pleases her ultimate “boss.”

Originally from the Cajun country of South Louisiana, Dr. Duhon now enjoys the diverse, wonderful people of Hampton Roads, along with the area’s access to the water and the woods. Her favorite activities outside of work include hiking, biking and spending time with her husband, Mario, and their three adult children.
