About Darlene Ewton, WHNP

 

A board-certified Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner, Darlene received her RN training at the Riverside School of Professional Nursing before earning her Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, and both Nurse Practitioner certifications from Virginia Commonwealth University.

Darlene’s medical philosophy is based on her belief in preventative health care, health education, continuity of care for women through all phases of life, and the provision of increased access to care. Darlene’s extensive experience and expertise enables her to successfully meet a broad spectrum of women’s health care needs, with specialties including colposcopy for abnormal Pap smears, Nexplanon and IUD insertion, prenatal care, birth control, well-woman exams and treatments for a range of gynecologic concerns.

A native of Newport News and current resident of York County, Darlene appreciates the history, outdoor activities, and water that the area has to offer. She enjoys gardening, boating and reading. Darlene and her husband have two children.
